Como configurar PIDGIN para Google Talk

Partiremos del supuesto que tenemos una cuenta de gmail llamada pep19@gmail.com y que su contraseña es 12345678

Para poder configurar una cuenta de Google Talk en Pidgin primero de todo nos hemos de dirigir a Cuentas, Gestionar Cuentas, Añadir.

En la pestaña Básica escogemos las siguientes opciones:

• Protocolo: XMPP
• Nombre de Usuario: pep19
• Dominio: gmail.com
• Recurso: home
• Contraseña: 12345678 (El password de tu cuenta de correo)
• Apodo Local: powerpepe (nick con el que aparecerás en el chat)

Una vez añadidas estas opciones, clicamos en la pestaña Avanzadas y añadimos lo siguiente:

• Seguridad de la conexión: Utilizar SSL antiguo
• Puerto de Conexión: 443
• Conectar con el servidor: talk.google.com
• Pasarelas de transferencias de archivos: proxy.eu.jabber.org
• Permitir autentificar en claro sobre canales no cifrados: desactivada

El resto lo dejamos tal como viene por defecto, le damos Guardar.  Con esto ya tenemos configurado Pidgin para Google Talk.
